ASCE’s Ports & Harbors Committee’s primary mission is to “study and disseminate information on the planning, design, construction, maintenance, operation, pollution control, and technical functioning of ports and harbors.” They coordinate closely with port and harbor agencies nationwide. The committee rolls up to ASCE’s semi-autonomous institute, COPRI (Coasts, Oceans, Ports, and Rivers Institute).
Katzenmeyer has been a longtime member of ASCE, recently joining the Ports & Harbors Committee’s Sea Level Change Subcommittee. He has used his experience with benefit-cost analysis and sea level rise in his ongoing contributions to Chapter 7 of their “COPRI/ASCE Sea Level Change Assessment Framework for Ports & Harbors.”
Katzenmeyer has been a key member of Fenstermaker's New Orleans Water Resources team since 2021 under Engineering Director Jeanne Arceneaux Hornsby, MS, PE, CFM.
