A platinum sponsor of the WTS Oklahoma chapter since its inception in 2016, Garver has routinely participated in chapter events such as membership meetings, mentoring programs, silent auctions, and the annual awards banquet.

In addition to supporting WTS, Garver has created new opportunities and promoted from within to make it possible for women to advance within the company. Initiatives such as the Transportation Mentoring Program, Garver U, and a tuition reimbursement program have promoted professional development and mentoring opportunities. Garver’s internal group, Garver Connect, has provided support and connection for Garver’s women by sponsoring companywide events that highlight Garver’s female leaders and contributions.
Garver has prioritized encouraging the involvement of women in professional organizations, with many of them holding officer positions or serving on committees at both the local section and state level.

Garver has also sought to change the makeup of the mostly male-dominated engineering field by hosting a number of programs aimed at broadening the talent pipeline and encouraging young women to take an interest in STEM fields from a young age. These initiatives have ranged from Garver Launch, the firm’s comprehensive internship program to programs conducted through GarverGives, the firm’s corporate giving program.
