WISCONSIN DELLS, WI — Seiler Instrument’s Geospatial Division joined other exhibitors and speakers at the 75th Annual Wisconsin Society of Land Surveyors’ (WSLS) Institute held at the Kalahari Convention Center in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. Before this educational and professional networking event designed for surveyors took place, Seiler Geospatial held their annual Tech Day at the nearby Glacier Canyon Conference Center.

A tradition that they have been carrying on for the past 23 years, the employees of Seiler’s Franklin, Wisconsin, location always look forward to holding this event.

“The ability for Seiler to reach out and provide this service for our customers is just paramount for us,” said Steve Grady, Seiler Geospatial Sales Representative. “We enjoy the interaction. We want to hear their comments and their concerns, but we also want to educate them so they are getting the maximum value out of the software and the hardware that they’re purchasing from us. ... Anybody can just deliver something to somebody’s door. But then to support it on the back end and to make sure they are getting their value out of it is very important to Seiler and to our partner, Trimble.”

Sean Chard, Trimble’s Senior Channel Manager, Geospatial Sector, was also on hand to speak to the more than 100 attendees and answer questions. “I’ve been with Trimble for 20 years, and I’ve been working with Seiler for 20 years," he said. "They are a great business partner, and we are very proud of our relationship. Seiler has a very strong customer base. ... It’s an incredible opportunity for Trimble to have boots on the ground and get with customers that use our gear.”

“We also want the customers to be thinking about what else they can do with the equipment and what else they can get out of it to be able to go out and market themselves a little bit more and make themselves more profitable,” Grady said.

Among the topics covered during the Tech Day were What New Products Are Available, Trimble Scanning, General Updates for TBC, Trimble Access 2023.10 or Higher, Common Problems and Proactive Maintenance on Trimble Data Collectors, Reality Capture and 3D Scanning, Drone LiDAR Performance, Mobile Mapping, and New Features in Civil 3D. Throughout the day, Tech Tips were offered and a barbecue lunch was served.

For the annual WSLS Institute, not only was Seiler Instrument a Premier Sponsor and an exhibitor, but they also brought along Motaz Mostafa, Trimble's Americas Sales Manager, to speak about boosting productivity with GNSS positioning insurance and how new surveyors could discover how to leverage positioning insurance to optimize their productivity and minimize downtime in the field. Seiler Wisconsin’s Holly Urbain and Grady spoke at the vendor session called, What’s New with Trimble and Seiler, covering new Trimble hardware and software updates as well as what Seiler has to offer in drones, ground penetrating radar, and hydrographic survey options.

Eric Seiler, Seiler Vice President of Survey Sales, summed up the days' events. “We’re just incredibly proud to be partnered with so many great people and companies up here in Wisconsin, who are out here participating with us and learning alongside us over the course of these several days,” he said.
